Boom2Bust.com is an independent financial blog that seeks to warn and educate its readers about the coming U.S. financial crash. The blog’s origins can be traced back to 2004, when Boom2Bust’s editor, Christopher E. Hill, began conducting financial research in support of his personal investment activities. He concluded that a major U.S. economic crisis is right around the corner. Boom2Bust.com debuted on Memorial Day Weekend 2007, and reflects ongoing research and analysis concerning the coming financial storm in the United States.
Posts from the blog, now numbering over 500 in just over a year, have been reproduced by news outlets such as Reuters (over 200 times), Wall Street Journal, FOXBusiness.com, USA Today, Chicago Sun-Times, Palm Beach Post, and West Orlando News.
Christopher E. Hill is an independent financial research analyst, writer, and blogger based in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Hill specializes in the study of financial crises, and how an individual can protect and grow one’s wealth in such an environment. He is also the creator/editor of Investorazzi.com, a weblog that tracks the investment activities of the world’s greatest investors, a regular contributor to BizzLo and Contrarian Investors’ News, and a former guest columnist for “MoneyFiles.” Mr. Hill previously served 11 years in the public sector, most notably as an aide to a former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate.

Christopher received a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 1995 and an M.A. in Political Science (International Affairs) from Loyola University of Chicago in January 1998.
When not glued to the computer, Chris enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, traveling, boating, fishing, smoking fine cigars (in moderation), and watching copious amounts of cinema, thoroughbred horse racing, and English Premier League football (soccer). In addition to being a supporter of Sunderland AFC in the Premier League, he is part-owner of Ebbsfleet United FC, a professional club in the fifth division of English football and current holder of the FA Carlsberg Trophy.
