Boom2Bust.com is an independent financial blog that seeks to warn and educate its readers about the coming U.S. financial crash. The blog’s origins can be traced back to 2004, when Boom2Bust’s editor, Christopher E. Hill, began conducting financial research in support of his personal investment activities. He concluded that a major U.S. economic crisis was right around the corner. Boom2Bust.com debuted on Memorial Day Weekend 2007, and reflects ongoing research and analysis concerning the coming financial storm in the United States.
Posts from the blog, now numbering over 1,500, have been republished by the Wall Street Journal, FOX Business, FOX News, Reuters, USA Today, the Chicago Sun-Times group, the Austin American-Statesman, the Palm Beach Post, and the West Orlando News, among others.
As the result of his work with Boom2Bust, MSNBC interviewed and quoted Mr. Hill in a May 2009 piece.
Chris looks forward to retiring the blog one day, as such an activity will signal his belief that the worst of the crash is over with a sustainable economic recovery now at hand.
Christopher E. Hill is an independent researcher based in Chicago, Illinois. He is also the creator/editor of Investorazzi.com, a weblog that tracks the investment activities of the world’s greatest investors, and a guest poster for the MarketClub Trader’s Blog.
These days, Chris is hard at work putting together a special-themed newsletter that is set to debut in early 2010.
Mr. Hill previously served 11 years in the public sector, most notably as an aide to a former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate.

Christopher received a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 1995 and an M.A. in Political Science (International Affairs) from Loyola University of Chicago in January 1998. During this time, he developed a strong interest in economics and investing.

When not glued to the computer, Chris enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, traveling, boating, fishing, smoking fine cigars (in moderation), and watching copious amounts of cinema, thoroughbred horse racing, World Rally Championship auto racing, and English football (soccer), particularly Sunderland AFC in the English Premier League.
In 2009, Christopher was part-owner of a 2-year-old chestnut filly thoroughbred racehorse named “Hidinginthebarrel.”

As Hidinginthebarrel decided she would rather be a pet than a competitor, Mr. Hill acquired a stake in a 2-year-old brown colt racing prospect in 2010. “Striking Chap,” whose name he came up with, is an Illinois-bred by Tenpins (earned over $1.1 million his his racing career) and a mare named St Chapelle (by European Champion Horse of the Year St Jovite, who won the Irish Derby, one of Europe’s Classics).

He is also part-owner of Ebbsfleet United FC, a professional club in the fifth division of English football.
