Boom2Bust.com is an independent financial blog that seeks to warn and educate its readers about the coming U.S. financial crash. The blog’s origins can be traced back to 2004, when Boom2Bust’s editor, Christopher E. Hill, began conducting financial research in support of his personal investment activities. He concluded that a major U.S. economic crisis was right around the corner. Boom2Bust.com debuted on Memorial Day Weekend 2007, and reflects ongoing research and analysis concerning the coming financial storm in the United States.
Posts from the blog, now numbering over 1,200, have been picked up by Reuters (over 400 times), Palm Beach Post (over 200 times), Chicago Sun-Times group (over 100 times), Wall Street Journal, FOX Business, USA Today, and the West Orlando News.
Mr. Hill has also been interviewed and quoted by MSNBC (May 2009).
Christopher E. Hill is a webpreneur, political activist, and independent financial researcher based in Chicago, Illinois. He specializes in the study of financial crises, and how an individual can protect and grow one’s wealth in such an environment. Christopher previously served 11 years in the public sector, most notably as an aide to a former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate.

Christopher received a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in May 1995 and an M.A. in Political Science (International Affairs) from Loyola University of Chicago in January 1998. During this time, he developed a strong interest in economics and began cultivating his knowledge of investing.
“My Kind Of Town”
When not glued to the computer, Chris enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, traveling, boating, fishing, smoking fine cigars (in moderation), and watching copious amounts of cinema, thoroughbred horse racing, World Rally Championship auto racing, and English football (soccer), particularly Sunderland AFC in the English Premier League.
Christopher is part-owner of a two-year-old chestnut filly thoroughbred racehorse-in-training.
