I completely agree with Mark Twain and what he said about history not repeating itself:

“History doesn’t repeat itself – at best it sometimes rhymes.”

However, I can’t help but notice the growing similarities between the U.S. economy and larger financial system of today and of the 1930s.

In fact, some are already referring to the present economic downturn as “The Great Recession.”

Now what was that Twain said about rhyming?
