Some food items - eggs - for example, cost more than they do here in the US.  But people's incomes are still far lower than they are for Americans, and I wonder how they manage to get by these days.

All that oil wealth coming into Russia is only going into a few hands; little of that money appears to be trickling down into the ordinary Russian's pockets.

KINDA LIKE THE WEALTH FLOW RIGHT HERE IN THE GOOD OLD USA!!!
